Hi Jules,
Thanks for your tip about Many Tears I have
been in contact with them and Bob is being held for us and we have been successfully home vetted today and plan to see Bob on Sunday and bring him home with us.He does look lovely ! can't wait to meet him. Thanks again for the intro !!!

That is just fab news...I offered Bob a foster home, rather than be in kennels but they said he may be going to his new forever home soon....please give him a big hug from me

Oh I am soooo pleased I hope everything goes ok ;)

Zen Dog...he knows not where he is going, for the ocean will decide. Its not the destination....its the glory of the ride.

Hi,
Just wanted to say good luck on Sunday.  We got Barney (also a black cocker) from Many Tears over 2 years ago, he was also a pet that was given up and he is wonderful.  Bob looks like his twin!  I hope you have lots of happy times together.

Welcome to the great site COl.  there are so many kind and helpful people on it who are only to glad to help you in your hour of need...I'm so sorry to hear about Jessie,  :'( (we lost our boy Merlin nearly two years ago. We have also adopted  from Many Tears, a little puppy farm cocker bitch just last December, she is called Holly and is also black, Holly has turned out to be a wonderful sweetheart and the change in her is so amazing and so rewarding. :luv:
hope all went well to-day and so looking forward to seeing pics of Bob.

I've been wondering too.  Let's hope Graham is far too busy getting to know Bob to be on here!  ;)

Come on Graham, the suspense is killing  :shades:  :005:

Just got back from Many Tears ( 650 mile round trip ) but am sorry to say we have not brought Bob back with us.
The problem was he was not a pure cocker spaniel and was much too large for us. I reckon he was at least a mix of cocker and springer with perhaps a bit more besides. I could hardly hold him and Sheila certainly had great difficulty with him. He was a lovely dog very friendly and loveable but was just not right for us and after much soul searching we realised it was not right for him and he was not right for us. So reluctantly we returned home without him. I suppose I should have checked with Many Tears to check his pedigree but they called him a cocker and we assumed he was . So we will keep on searching.

Oh, so sorry it didn't work out - you must be so disappointed  :'(  But well done for making the trip anyway and I am sure the right dog is out there somewhere just waiting for you!  ;)
