Thanks for all your replys. I have recently had some very good advice from a very experienced breeder who recommends
1 vitamin e per day of around 268 mg
6 folic acid per day of 400 ug

Hi-ya - really interested in the responses to this question.  In the short time that I have been breeding cocker's not only have I had CP but also fading puppies (this is the most heart breaking thing in the world to go through) after some long & tearful conversations with some really amazing animal lovers and gifted individuals.

I make sure that my bitches have both vaccines against Herpes and I feed the folic acid tablets and since this regime I have had two litters one of 3 pups and the other of 7 and we had no cp's or faders.  The important thing is to always care for your bitch ensuring that the food you feed is suitable for a bitch in pup.  I can only say from my experiences that any litters I plan in the future will be including both of the formentioned supplements.  Good luck  :D
