Runny Eyes
« on: August 31, 2004, 04:49:51 PM »
:P Bailey has just developed runny eyes over the past few days or so, he looks like he's crying all the time. Is it normal? ive tried to bathe them the best i can but they still continue to run. Could it be an allergy? any suggestions? ;)

It may be worth a trip to the vet, I don't think that you can be too careful when it comes to eyes.
It could be something as simple as an allergy, or it could be something that needs to be treated quickly  :)
How old is Bailey ? I find that when pups are teething they can sometimes get droopy & wet eyes.

well jessie got conjunctivitis recently and I used cold tea to wipe them clean and Brolene cream..worked a treat!  am not suggestin conjunctivitis is the cause but it COULD be if 'ooziness' turns a greeny/yellowy colour like jessie.  I treated Poppy aswell, cos.. well    I thought i they were like kids then it would spread around as it's contagious    but I might have been making wok for myself

I've been told to do that as well and I must admit its cheaper than the stuff at the vets LOL

Yes Jane told me what the vets charge..I was almost applying to college to become a vet.. I was seeing £ signs

really is a simple remedy , the tea, and the brolene was £4.99 I think from Boots.  cleared up in around2/3 days I think..totally..  she was feelin sory for herself with it though bless her, it cant be nice for them

Oscar has been like that, but he has also started sneezing. The vet has given him some eye drops, which have cleared up the eyes, but he is still sneezing in the house. He has been fine when we are out; we are checking a few things. We have a lot of those plug in smelly things as we are trying to sell our house and we do not want it to smell doggy. We have unplugged all of them and his sneezing seems to be getting better, so we will have to keep an eye on things.

:P i cant believe that, we have had some of those glade freshners about, you know the ones that are glass and look like jelly in them lol, and its funny that he has only had this eye problem since then,  so it could be that whats causing it. Cheers david you may have solved the mystery. :P  :P  :P
