curly coat

hi i dont think ive seen a blue roabn with a caot as curly as ours hes very curly and at 6 months old is he gonna chage to a straight coat? were not sure if he needs trimming as his coat is curly but not long , the wifes trimmed under his legs paws and head ... is  this enough?

My pup is 8mths old his coat is rather curly on his back, very thick with it, spend last two days trying to strip him out, the coat is coming out in the handfuls,

Id speak to the breeder/or a groomer about getting him stripped out know.
