Thornit Ear Powder
« on: October 28, 2004, 09:36:48 AM »
Hiya,

Currently looking at things we need to buy before our new arrival in the New Year and was wondering if I should get some of this ear powder.

Is it the type of thing that you should start using on a pup to prevent anything from happening or would you wait till the dog is a bit older?  Do most of you use it as a preventative instead of a cure?

Any recommendations gratefully received  :)

You'll find info on Thornit at the top of the Health board ;) Yes it's used as a preventative & to treat existing problems & is well worth having in every Cocker's owner's dog kit :)

I started using it soon after getting Lottie....it only takes a little and it leaves a nice clean smell and hopefully prevents problems.

My two have always had 'waxy' ears even though I've used drops both from retail outlets and the vets.  I have now invested in a bottle of Thornit, and we'll see how we go.  There's nothing on the advice sheet that would suggest it wouldn't be suitable for puppies.
