Hi I have just discovered this forum and am looking forward to getting to know you all!   :D
We have owned and bred beautiful golden cocker spaniels for over twenty years.  We stopped breeding whilst our children were little, and got down to just one beautiful boy who died sadly at the age of 13 and a half years early last year.  

Our current little girl is Brianna (registered name Brightleaf Brianna), who is nine months old and is the delight of our lives.  We intend to breed with Brianna when she is old enough (if her hip and eye scores are good) and our daughter (17) is now a registered breeder under our prefix as well.

I live in Sydney, Australia.

Good to meet you. We lived in Sydney (Coogee) for six years and didn't see one Cocker!! I obviously wasn't looking in the right places!

Wendy, you must be very excited about your new baby!  Molly is a lovely name for a cocker!  
Toni, there are lots of cockers in Australia!!  I don't know about in Coogee, but I am sure there would be!
We live in outer western Sydney, in the suburb of St Clair.  We are quite familiar with Coogee though, I love the beach there!

I am also a member of a very similar forum to this, but for all purebred breeds of dog, called DogzOnline - www.dogzonline.com.au.  It is an Australian forum, you might like to check it out!  Go to the site and click on forums to read the topics there.
You will see profiles of many of the beautiful Australian cockers.   :)

Thanks Sue!  Yes, that is Brianna on my avatar.  She is named after a character in the Outlander series of books written by Diana Gabaldon.  The first book is called "Cross Stitch".  My husband and I absolutely love the books and just knew we had to call her Brianna.  Her breeder let us choose her registered name, so she is Brightleaf Brianna.  We love the name and it suits her - she is a very pretty girl!   :)

We had a golden cocker girl last year, but sadly lost her at 10months old. However - we are now just awaiting the arrival of our new pup in 4 weeks time - a blue roan boy called Paddy :D

I have a 4yr old golden cocker called Lottie (girl), a 3 yr old orange roan cocker called Georgie (girl) and a 2 yr old collie called Sammy (boy)   :D .

I own the boys in the avatar - Brogan is 18 months the end of January - he's my orange roan.  Bailey my choccy boy will be 9 months old the same day.  2 adolescent boys - what a fantastic excuse to get out of housework  :D both of them are so much fun!! :wub:

I love the name Brianna as well - she looks just gorgeous!
