Would like to thank everyone for their kind warm wishes. I still have`nt got used to the idea that she has gone yet. How long will it take for me to get over this?

Have just seen your post about Rosie (must have missed it yesterday)

I am so so sorry to hear about the accident....you will understandably be devastated and more than likely still in a state of shock at the moment...and it will take some time to accept as you will be grieving for your girl.

Thoughts and prayers for you x

Hi Wendall

Just want to send you a massive  :bigarmhug:  I'm so sorry.  All I can say is the pain does ease, eventually, but we never forget them.  You need to grieve in your own time, in your own way. Take all the time you need but we are all here for you.   :luv: :luv:

I'm so, so sorry to read about your darling Rosie. Sadly, many of us know how awful you must be feeling and all I can say is that the hurt will fade with time, but there will always be a Rosie-shaped hole in your heart.
Run free wee girlie  :luv:

I don't think we ever really get over their passing:( Our love for them runs so deep and they occupy such a huge space in our lives that when they leave us the gap seems enormous. I think in time the hurt that engulfs us gives way to the softer, gentler cherished memories that then fill up some of that gap. I also think that each of us grieve differently and for different lengths of time. This must be a terribly difficult time for you so Coop and I send hugs and wags your way and hope that your pain eases soon.

:bigarmhug:'s Wendy.... its always so hard to lose a beloved pet and family member, and to do so in the manner you lost Rosie  :'( you must be devastated. As already said you're probably still in a state of shock.... It will get easier, with time.  How long that is, wish I could tell you, but one day you'll notice it hurts a little less and you'll be remembering the good times more often.  Thinking of you and your family at such a very very difficult time.  :bigarmhug:

Run free little Rosie, taken far too young   :luv:

Lisa has said exactly what I wanted to  :'(

It is heartbreaking to lose a beloved pet but to lose them far too young is doubly cruel  :'(

Take care of yourself and take your time - it will get easier eventually  :-\

So sorry that you have lost Rosie, it's devastating  :'(   Give yourself time to grieve, and to heal.  There is no way you can put a timescale on this, just take it as it comes.  Wish I could help to ease your pain  :bigarmhug:

Omg I've only just seen your post regarding Rosie.... I am so sorry for you, what an awful tragedy, my heart goes out to you

LEND ME A PUP

I will lend to you for awhile a puppy, God said,
For you to love him while he lives
and to mourn for him when he is gone.
Maybe for 12 or 14 years, or maybe for 2 or 3
But will you, till I call him back
take care of him for me?

He’ll bring his charms to gladden you and
(should his stay be brief)
you’ll always have his memories
as solace for your grief.
I cannot promise that he will stay
since all from Earth return,
But there are lessons taught below
I want this pup to learn.

I’ve looked the whole world over
in search of teachers true,
And from the fold that crowd life’s land
I have chosen you.
Now will you give him all your love
Nor think the labor vain,
nor hate me when I come to take
my pup back again?

I fancied that I heard them say,
“Dear Lord, They Will Be Done,”
For all the joys this pup will bring
the risk of grief you’ll run.
Will you shelter him with tenderness,
Will you love him while you may?
And for the happiness you’ll know
forever grateful stay?

But should I call him back
much sooner than you’ve planned,
please brave the bitter grief that comes
and try to understand.
If, by your love, you’ve managed
my wishes to achieve,
In memory of him that you’ve loved,
cherish every moment with your faithful bundle,
and know he loved you too.
