Apple Mac Question
« on: February 06, 2013, 03:21:30 PM »
My OH is thinking of buying an I Mac, however he needs to be able to receive emails from micro soft publisher then edit and return them. It has been suggested to use an app called I studio publisher, but we can't find it.
I have every faith that someone out there will have the answer.

At work OH uses everything Microsoft, but carries on with same work including editing research articles and theses at home, on his Mac laptop. I will ask him what he uses for compatibility tonight.  His  previous collection of six Microsoft laptops were a pain in the neck, little Mac laptop never lets him down and doesn't give him an excuse to buy yet another computer.  My IMac is getting on in years and never had a problem, because they design all their own programmes to work together. Then of course you synchronise  your iPad, iPhone etc to to share everything you want.

I bought an iMac and sold it within a couple of weeks, just couldn't get on with it after always using windows, plus some of my programs won't work on a Mac, so pointless me having it.

My son in law is a Mac IT specialist at Southampton Uni , he is a wizz with all things Mac, I could ask him at the weekend if that is any help.
My OH and I both have I Mac's and a Mac laptop. I wouldn't go back to the old computer if you paid me !!

Just asked OH how he does everything on his mac laptop, the answer being simply that it came with Microsoft Office installed on it as standard.! He has the best of both worlds.
Hope this helps.

Spoke briefly to son in law at the weekend and he suggested Microsoft should be installed on it, so you can use outlook, word etc.
Exactly as phoenix has explained previously.
Hope this works ok for you.
