reinstalled xp and pc keeps crashing

ok more probs here.i haven't been able to use my recovery on our pc for ages so today we reformatted the hard drive and reinstalled xp from a disc.now the pc keeps turning itself off every few mins.it was repaired in january and a new motherboard was put in also a new graphics card and extra ram.i have discs for the motherboard and graphics card do i need to get something off these discs?my son is going insane with frustration.

Hey Lyn was it crashing before you re-installed it ?

It sounds to me like its over heating, they might not have used the right processor fan.

Let me know and we'll try and sort it for you.

hi jim,no it wasn't overheating b4 we did the install.i don't know whats wrong with it its gone dead slow too.even the screen seems to have a bit of a wobble now.i looked in devise manager but apart from some saying there is no driver installed(and no i don't know if there is supposed to be one)i can't find a prob.i have done the updates and all i can think of but its totaly crap.
help!!!!!!!!!

If you turn it on and get it into windows then dont touch it what happens ?
Leave it until it reboots itself or few an hour.

If its turning itself off its going to be hard to sort it this end, if it will stay on then try and get logmein installed on it so I can have a look.

it stopped turning itself off now :Dbut it running slow.and the screen still has a wobble.it only turned itself off when mike tries to play cs but i think it had something to do with the updates.we had to install 45 updates >:(how do i reinstall log me in again?

goto www.logmein.com log in using your details, the click on add computer.

If its only crashing when trying to play CS and the screen is wobbley then it will be the graphics card driver I would say

Have you got the latest driver for it ? do you know what Make and model it is ?

Sort your logmein out and ill have a quick look

my pc on logmein is now called packard-d 38d14f in upper case
