how do you scan something and put in an email??? Help

Hi hopefully someone will b e able to help im useless with computers.
I need to scan some documents and email them to a company but i have no idea where to start? we have a printer that photocopies and prints and stuff ?

Is your printer a combined printer/scanner, not all printers have a scan facility. If it  has it should have scan buttons somewhere on the printer, or perhaps a scan menu?

well you need to find out if your printer can scan???
if it dose then you should have an icon on your desk top or in your start button..
then all you need to do is put the doc in the printer as if you were going to photo copy it
then click on the icon... you should then get a pop up screen it will ask you to click scan
it will now scan your item. and save it in Pictures..
then all you need to do is go to your email and attach the doc

If your printer copies then it definately will scan. All printers are different and some are easier than others. Mine is really obvious but i was helping a friend with just this problem the other day and we couldnt work it out at all without the written instructions!  If it isn't obvious then I would refer to the manual! If you can't find it then do a search online as most are available. Type in the make and model of your printer and the word manual.
