Title: RIP Ollie Nathan
Post by: ollie nathan's mum on March 18, 2018, 03:52:21 PM
I can’t beleive he has gone, just short of his eight birthday. Ollie started to limp and struggle with stairs etc just one week ago. To cut a long story short within 48hrs he couldn’t walk and was incontint of faeces and couldn’t pass urine. His X-rays showed that most of his spinal discs had crumbled. I can’t beleive that he hadn’t complained. To say we are devastated is an understatement. I miss my little him so much.  He was such a brave and beautiful boy.

No need to leave if you aren't ready to. You don't need to have a cocker to be a member here:you just need to understand that they are the best breed in the world.  :luv: :005:

Heartbreaking....I lost mine at a similar age, I felt we d been cheated out of four more years. Couldn't look at a cocker or Col for a year.  I came back because it's such a lovely group, and eventually found the urge to cuddle a strangers' chocolate cocker on Mam Tor, the owners were so understanding. That was so healing.

You must see  how much you are cared about by us and the understanding that is on this site, we are here for you now and as you move on - in the future there maybe a time when you feel a question needs an answer and Ollie's Mum has that answer.

You are very much in my thoughts, and sending all the support down these computer lines.

I've not been on here for a while and obviously missed this.  How dreadful for you and what an awful shock.  It is very early days and your heart must be breaking.  They are such a huge part of our lives.  I understand exactly how you are feeling.  I lost my last male cocker at 7 years old.  He was the most character packed, funny dog and we were devastated and felt so cheated.  Be kind to yourself.
