Planning on getting another one

Mason will be one year old next week and he loves to play. Murphy is ten and he plays with him, but he is often too tired, especially in the evening. We know this will just get worse. Molly, Murphy's sister is a self-trained lapdog and she will not play; even if her arthritis let her. So, poor Mason is going to be left out on a limb, but the breeder, said she is aiming for a second and final litter from Mason's mum and dad sometime soon. Mason is gorgeous and lovely and the prospect of a full sibling too good to turn-up. We've already said we'll have one of the litter.

More sleepless nights, more biting and another 6 months of puppy class - I'm very excited.

Now, what good cocker names being with 'M'?

Thanks, but no "Maisie" or "Misty" as it can't be a girl; as we are worried about introducing a new girl with Molly. Unless, of course, the only black & tan is a girl and then we will have to reconsider. One of the last litter was B&T, but the poor mite didn't survive long and we chose Mason, who is black; like the other two. I do like "Monty", as we live only a few miles from Montgomery. Mrs M has already over-ruled that as a name.

I wanted to call our current pup Milo - or Paddy.  Trev wanted to call him Spartacus!!! (You can tell he doesn't walk the dogs - or train them!! Imagine calling Spartacus in the park) so we compromised on Maximus - or Max for short.

Having gone through the "M" section of a list of names, we're currently at Marlow or Marlowe, Marshall and McKenzie. Hadn't seen Madison, but really like that; thanks. Max is good, but there are a few local dogs called Max - I have add further identifiers when talking about them; there's Mad Max and Big Maxl near us.

My partner wanted to call ours Thunder! Or Hercules!!!!  :shades: We settled for Leo but were considering mowgli  (like from the jungle book) for a while. I liked it but Leo is ginger so Leo the lion was a better fit  :005:
