How tall is your cocker?

Dave is about 14" at the moment (he's 8 months)

Trev was 17.5-18" and GORGEOUS with it 

Storm is 26"

I think bracken is 15" (assuming I measured to the right place (to her back as such at the shoulders). She's predominantly show with a bit of worker... but looks very worker to me..

Our cat is 14" to the shoulder....

I thought Jarvis was taller too, but Bracken says that he is taller than her so that's fine.

So Bracken's height is ok, but she only weighs 10kg...

As of the end of November last year they were -

Meg 11.2 kg

Neneh 11.45kg haven't measured her or Meg for years, but Neneh was/is up to size and Meg is a little short on the leg.

Halle 10.10kg - and I know she is only 14" at the shoulder.

Florence 11.75kg  and 15" at the shoulder.

they don't give you much leeway do they for breed standard - 1/2 an inch??

his height is about the only thing on the Cocker breed standard guidelines that Jarv actually meets    he's about 12.5kgs so a bit under the weight guide too

26"...  You'll never get her in the show ring at that height Hannah...and that's all dependent on you deciding you are going to handstrip her!! 



Monty (show type) is 16.5" and 13 months old...haven't weighed him for ages though!!!

So Bracken's height is ok, but she only weighs 10kg...

Laurië's height is ok too, but only weighs 9kg. She is not underweight, I asked my vet last time to be sure. If she was 13kg she would be fat  I guess she really is a tiny cocker, no wonder people still thinks she's a puppy. She is not 2years until this summer so maybe she will get bigger (not taller of course).

Taking photo's indoors of black cockers is rubbish, she's going to a show on Sunday so I'll try and get some of her then.

Tia is 17" so is 1.5" - 2" taller than breed standard. She is approx 3/4 worker and weighs 13kg.  I think she looks just right at this weight. We often get asked if she is a springer because of her height and colouring.    Tia will be 2 in April
