How awful and shocking for you (and Millie).  I know how you feel - Ollie was hit last year.  Reading your post brought back those feelings of dread and horror.  :bigarmhug: for you both.  Hope she's feeling ok tomorrow after a rest tonight.

We're all glad to hear Millie is ok.  It must have been such a shock and I hope she recovers quickly.

Lots of love and hugs, Olivia, Bella, and Monty xxx

What an awful shock Sarah. Like Helen said, don't blame yourself, these things happen.

I'm sure Millie will be sore for a few days but hopefully nothing worse. Take care of yourself too :bigarmhug:

Poor you and poor Millie - what an awful thing to happen. It's hard to always get the lock to 'click' at first go - I think most of us are lucky that if it hasn't locked properly it's in a safe place. It's good you were able to act so quickly to avoid anything worse - it's amazing how our instincts kick in in these situations to avoid the most serious outcomes.

Just read this, glad she is not seriously injured, sending tons of gentle hugs from us too, hope she recovers soon :bigarmhug:
Both taken away from us far too soon. x  RIP Angels Odie & Archie, causing mayhem at the Rainbow, no doubt!

OMG how scary - thank goodness she is OK.  It is my worst nightmare as Coco has a terrible habit of trying to lunge under lorries  >:(

Have you got her on arnica to help with bruising?

Was going to suggest arnica too  ;)

Thank you for all the lovely messages  :-* :-*

She is weight bearing this morning :dance04: but she then does something silly like leaping up at the back door and holds it up again for a while. It's all right for the vet to say 'keep her quiet' he obviously doesn't own a spaniel  :005:. He was brilliant with her though (she is petrified of the vet and will scream a lot at nothing), chatted away to me like everything was normal and managed to calm her down enough so that she only screamed when it actually hurt bless her  :luv:.

Glad she seems to be ok...

It's absolutely terrifying when something like that happens - I know the few minutes of our Cavvie being run over when I was walking her (as a teenager) are imprinted on my mind for ever (Amber was absolutely fine, though to this day I'll never understand how).  Look after yourself as well as Millie!!!!  :luv:
