Found at Kirriemuir, Angus
« on: May 04, 2007, 10:30:58 PM »
FOUND at Backwater Dam in Kirriemuir Angus - 9 dogs all huddled together and terrified.
3 golden cockers, 2 black & white/ blue roan cockers and 4 scottish terriers - ages unknown at this time.

Any information that can be supplied would be much appreciated.  Please contact Catherine Mason - either by phone 01356 624838 or email catherinemason@lineone.net

All 9 dogs are presently being cared for in the local Dog Pound and will remain there for one week before being re-homed.

Please feel free to cross-post.  It's at times like these when we all need to help.

Oh my god, I wonder was this a puppy farm offloading 'unwanted stock'?  :'( >:(  I know there are quite a few in that general area  :-\

I will see what can be done.

I think the dogs do have microchip details showing they are/were owned by a commercial dealer in the Doncaster area, sadly one with a very poor reputation and whose owner has been the subject of Trading Standards investigations in the past (and appeared on BBC Watchdog, according to the Puppy Alert website HERE).

not if people like nicola have anything to do with it ;) :luv:

I am sure moves are going on behind the scenes to secure rescue spaces for these poor dogs, so fingers crossed they will be able to save them all.

It's really upsetting isn't it  :'( I just keep thinking about them huddled together and how frightened they must have been. The fact they stayed together tells me that they have probably never been outside before

If anyone thinks they can help it is probably best to email Cath Mason direct as she is a representative for Scottish Cocker Rescue  ;)

This has just been posted on C-UK so looks like they are all safe

I've just spoken with Catherine.  She thanks everybody for the calls and emails and says there is nothing anyone can do until the 7 days are up.  The 9 dogs will then be transferred to a local kennel for assessment before finding suitable loving homes for them

They must be terrified  :'(, but at least they are safe and have the prospect of some loving homes.
