I am Charlie, I am Strawberry roan Cocker. I was bought twice and still didn’t get it right. My first home neglected me and I found myself being picked up by the council van and returned time and again. Then that home sold me on, to a lady who was ill and needed my company. I gave her love and companionship, cuddling up, by her bedside and putting my paw up when she was sad. She fed me and took me to the vets at times but she couldnt walk me, as she couldn’t get out. This lady is better now, after a year and doesn’t need me anymore. I want to find a true and honest home, to live out my days. I am loyal and cheerful, (sometimes a bit sad) with loads of love to give. I like dogs, I like children and ignore cats if I can. I don’t wander anymore, if the doors open I just stay and wait till I am told I can go out

Charlie would like to have a home, where he can finally have the love and care, he has always deserved. He is gentle, sweet, charming and forgiving. There is not a bad bone or thought in him. He is being treated for blocked eye ducts (all the tears he should have shed) and he has had some teeth removed. Charlie wants a couple of walks a day. He is perfectly clean and well behaved, pulls slightly for a few yards outdoors, but only because walking is kind of new to him now. He is very obedient and so kindly, I want to cry. Charlie is currently under the vet for a bone which went through his cheek, poor little fellow. He will be ready for a new home directly this has healed up. We would prefer a quiet home for Charlie and of course lots of love and attention.

He is fostered in Basildon Essex. He can be homed in the home counties. For more information call animalactiontrust essex or email: askanimalaction@yahoo.co.uk.

Bless him.  His story is like that of the cocker next door, Toffee, that I walk.  This is her fourth, and forever, home.  She was treated so cruelly in the past and even after all she suffered is the most loving, gentle, cocker you could wish for.  Her whole aim in life is to please you.

Hope with all my heart that Charlie finds a forever home where he will be loved forever, just like Toffee is.

If you go up to your first post, it says something in the very last paragraph - "he can be homed in the Home Counties".

some rescues do that as they want to keep tabs on a dog in their area

Thanks.  I wondered if that might be it.
