Poppy is a beautiful Cocker that was collected from Bicester about two weeks ago. This is the same area that Purdy and Lady were found and like them she has some issues with her eyes. Poor Poppy doesn't make enough tears so had very sore eyes and could hardly open them. This is now being treated and can now open her eyes fully. It's likely that Poppy has been breed from and as a result isn't too keen on male dogs. Poppy barks at them (poor Arthur is scared of her), if they ignore her she stops but she would rather they kept their distance. On the whole Poppy is very good, she sits to have her eye and ear medication and doesn't move until she's told she can.Poppy loves going for a walk (l doubt she's had many her pads are soft), is interested in everything, enjoys playing ball and is very affectionate. In fact she would rather have a cuddle than food, she just wants to be with you. She sleeps in the kitchen at night, is house trained but does sometimes sing for us! Over the last week she has started to bark at her reflection in the patio door or when she sees a mirror. :biggrin:MORE DETAILS WILL FOLLOW ONCE SHE HAS BEEN SPAYED,,,POPPY IS BEING FOSTERED IN BEDFORDSHIRE
ElaineWhy is it so many of these ex breeders seem to have eye problems? One of our previous cockers had dry eye from quite a young age and we had it treated straight away, but had to keep it going until she died
Hello Is this little girl still looking for a forever home? and if so how do I go about it? many thanks
