I hope the introductions go well and they all go on to live in harmony. How anyone can cope with more than 3 is a mystery to me - though I did once say that about 2 I seem to remember.  ph34r

yup I said that about 2 - something about only having two hands..... hmm then I said it about 3, and then 4.... now - 5 that really is enough for me - Gracie is about equal to 3 normal dogs anyhow

I hope this old guy does come and live with you Gill - I'd love an oldie lurcher  ph34r but don't tell OH....

awwww....we could sneak one in penel - your oh would look into those hooooooj lurchery eyes and not be able to say no!!!

gill, i hope this oldie does spend his twilight years with you, i have leaky eyes thinking that after 11 1/2 years he can be so easily considered a 'tie'.

fingers crossed for him  :luv:

I didn't think that 3 would be any different from 2, but it is hard work, I'd have more if it was only up to me, but OH wont have more than 3 in the house >:( His 3 live outdoors, but both parties are often walked together and they all get on fine ages ranging from 12 years to 3 months well and 10 weeks now, but Aidee hasn't met the outdoor gang yet. Stan the terrier pup does the older guys head in a bit tho, so its just a matter of keeping him off them.

Good luck Gill, I'm sure you'll manage just fine ;)

Ohh how wonderful if you manage to give this oldie a new home. I just  :luv: the more mature doggies. We took on a 13 year old Cocker via PennyB and the Dog Pages web site. We had the wonderful old guy for three years, along with our 5 year old (at the time) Springer, and then introduced a year old bouncey Lab, and it all worked very well. Good Luck

If you do get him you could rename him Florida in keeping with your theme as that's where all the oldies go to retire in the States!  :shades: :005:

Oh Gill, how lucky you are - can't wait to see pics of him  :D

The breeder Misty came from had 5, all very much loved pets.  3 of them were old, Misty's Grandma (who was also black and tan) was 13 and to be honest she was the most playful with my little boy - and she was absolutely gorg.  So nice of you to give a home to an elderly dog - you're a star  :D

:005: Good idea, but perhaps as a surname as he's probably well attached to his own name by now  ;)

Should probably hear something today or tomorrow - she was going to think things through over the weekend. Michele's right - I couldn't possibly think of changing his name at this late stage of his life but as his name is Blue, it gives me an excuse to buy another two and call them Red & White, and that will keep my american flag flying  ;) :005: :005:
