Thanks for all your comments - they have made me cry again.  Didn't realise it was possible for someone to cry so much!

So very sorry to hear about Tara but at least she went peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her canine friends and you were able to have that final cuddle.

Take Care

Im so very sorry to hear about Tara, what a shock that must be for you but at least she went peacefully and didn't suffer at all.

I don't know how this will affect your other dogs but at least they had a chance to say goodbye to her and they have seen her body so I hope this will help them understand why she is not there anymore.

Going off to cuddle my two right now.  :-*

So sorry to hear about Tara  :'(  If anything, the other dogs will benefit from seeing her body - they will realise what has happened and they can accept it. They may still be 'off' for a few days but that is just natural.

So glad you had that extra cuddle  :luv:

So very sorry to hear about Tara, what a shock it must have been for you  :'( I'm so glad you got to cuddle her that morning   :luv: she went in her sleep knowing that she was loved, so hopefully in time you will take comfort in that.

I agree with Gill, i think your dogs will benefit from seeing her, and will be fine in a few days.

Its never ever easy is it. My heart goes out to you.

They say it is good for the other dogs in youre family to see the body as it helps with the grieving process. My Poppie was the only one not to see shrekkie when he had been put to sleep and she grieved for months. :'(

Lots of hugs and thinking of you.

We're all thinking of you.

I'm sure there will be lots of cockers benefiting from an extra couple of cuddles today. I agree that your dogs will have benefited from being there. Just remember all of the good times,
