My 12 year old cocker is on Yumove, and I've seen good results with this with one of my other dogs (who has now passed).  They make one for younger dogs.  Have a look on the Lintbells website.  My working cocker who works through the season and does agility through summer is 4 now and he's not on any supplements as I don't see them as necessary in a young fit dog on a decent diet.  I may start him on yumove when he reaches 6.

I use synoquin EFA for my dog with arthrosis, really good stuff, regret not starting her on it earlier. Looks like they have supplements for young, growing dogs and for maintenance as well in their range. http://www.vetplusglobal.com/products/s/animals_filter-Dogs--area-Joints/ They sell them at my vets so I feel very safe using them, only downside is the price, it's not cheap unfortunately.

To be honest, at her age, if she is on a varied and healthy diet, she shouldn't need ANY supplements at all ;)

You can get green lipped mussel and glucosamine tablets from Holland & Barrett. i have also heard that golden paste (made with turmeric powder) is very good too.

The tablets can be opened up and the powder sprinkled onto their dinner.

Can I ask out of curiosity why you cook your meat?

I think at her age it should be about good food and not to over exercise , my Nan had a springer riddled with Arthritus when I was a child so I was so paranoid about not letting Bea over do it.

Eating Fish once a week is a good way to get healthy fats into Macie, Bea loves a tin of sardines  :luv:
