Definitely e-mail the website that put up the ads, if I remember correctly they have a big notice saying if you have a problem with the advertiser (ie things not being as they are described) to contact them immediatly. As Jane said I don't know how reliable the will be on this but lets hope they surprise us.

Good Golly Miss Molly!  :lol: :luv: She is so cute, I love that last pic  :luv:  You can really see the Bassett coming out in her as she is getting older though, did this guy think that all the people who bought these pups were blind?? Good luck with Trading Standards  ;)

Certainly I would pursue the 'breeder' through Trading Standards & also as Jenny suggested perhaps through the small claims court as he lied & claimed that the puppies were something they weren't. I know these days people pay ridiculous amounts for dogs that are esssentially cross-breeds but he did assure you that she was a pure-bred cocker & only backed down when you confronted him. >:(

However the bottom line is that you have a super dog that you will have years of pleasure from!! :D

I would definitely press on with getting your money back though, I know it won't change the way you feel about Molly but you have been deliberately mis-sold something.

I would call the breeders bluff as he probably thinks you won't pursue the matter, I'm sure they'd pay up when they know you mean business ;)
