human hairdressing scissors versus doggies ones?

i need to buy some thinning scissors, my cheap and cheerful pair broke this morning after 3 years use!! I don't want to spend a fortune as billy isn't a show dog, i just chop where i think  but i'd like a fairly good pair and have been looking on ebay... i've found some nice human hairdressing scissors and wondered if they would be ok to use on him? or is there a difference between human and dog scissors?

In general, scissors made for dogs are stronger and more heavy duty, as with dogs you cut a larger amount of hair at a time; humans you cut smaller wisps.

I had this idea and my friend who is a dog groomer told me not too both as human ones were too small to do dogs with and not strong enough. xx

what about horse ones?

I just bought a pair of roseline ones from dazynadog and must say the service was fab, they phoned me up this morning and were very helpful

I don't think so there are hairdressers scissors that will coast around 300 euro. These are Japanese scissors, they are very strong and last a lifetime without sharpening. In the Netherlands both groomers and hairdresser use them.
