Title: Jasper has had a stroke

As if the poor boy hasn't got enough to cope with, now this. I knew something wasn't quite right this morning, he seemed a bit unsteady on his pins bless him and just wanted to go back to bed and wouldn't touch his breakfast. Never a good sign. Within a couple of hours he was like a drunken sailor and his head was tilting to the right. I suspected a stroke. Rushed him straight to the vet and she confirmed it, gave him a couple of injections a check over his heart not great either and wanted him back at half five. We can see a slight improvement so she has given him another injection and now we wait and see. Please keep my ginger boy in your thoughts and prayers please.

Thank you everyone your kindness means the world to me and my boy. He's all snuggled up in his bed with his teddy bear fleece from dunelm mill. He's managed a bit of dinner and some water. I shouldn't laugh at him but bless his heart he tried to cock his leg up a bag of bark chippings it didn't go well. But it shows he's making an effort. That's my boy.  :luv:

Hi all. Well the ginger boy had a good night and definitely showing signs of improvement. Still wobbling and tilting his head but much more alert and mobile. He even managed to cock his leg on the bag of bark clippings. So back to the vets tomorrow. Keep everything crossed for us.

Oh no!  Like you say, its not as if Jasper doesn't have enough to deal with already. I really hope he continues to improve, sometimes they make amazing recoveries, as I'm sure he will. Hugs to the both of you from coop and I,   and if you want to chat about him I'm always here.

Thanks Shannon and everyone else who has wished the boy well it seems your prayers are working. He continues to improve daily. Just got to sort out a diet for him now. Renal diet causes pancreatitis low fat diet buggers kidneys. The tightrope we walk just got a little thinner.

So glad he's still improving. He really keeps you on your toes! What about a hepatic diet for him? I know he doesn't have liver issues but it should be low fat and low protein and high carbs??
