Title: Travel Sickness Tablets?
Post by: hollyd443 on December 22, 2009, 01:24:18 PM
Just a quick Q, are either of these okay for dogs: Joy Rides or Kwells? And if so, what quantity for what weights?

Many thanks!

I've used Stugeron before on the vet's advice and it's been fine, I gave a child's dose. You can get pet travel sickness tablets but these ones do the trick and are cheaper and easier to get hold of. Ginger is also good for staving off travel sickness.

Hi Nicola - thanks for that. My Mum is down in Bristol and one of her dogs was a bit car sick on the way there. The two she has in the car are Kwells/Joyrides - I'll text her to say it'd be best if she can get to a chemist to get Stugeron before she starts the journey back.

I did not realise you could give Stugeron, one of mine gets travel sick we tried the Johnsons dog travel sickness tablets and they tend to stave off the drooling but she will be sick eventually. When we came back from Wales we gave them gingernut biscuits and a walk and they slept the whole way without a problem
Next year we want to go to Cornwall so reading this is very useful advice as its a 6 hour drive!!!!
