Hope everything goes ok on Friday and it isn't too stressful for Honey or you.

I have found more grass seeds in armpits than ears!!

Oh no! I know exactly why you are so worried and really hope it goes as smoothly as possible  :-* :-*. Millie is due an armpit trimming session but I'm working up the courage  :shades:

Clover had a very similar experience back in the summer - a couple of grass seeds were removed from her armpit, all healed, so we thought, then another swelling came up, grew bigger and hard, vet advised GA and cut out lump. Inside lump was more grass seed particles! The vet advised we get her clipped off as her long fur was trapping the grass awns which then worked their way into her skin and began to 'travel' - hence we now have Clover clipped off every 6-8 weeks and it is surprising how quickly her hairy armpits grow back in again!!!  :shades: Best of luck for Honey's op - am sure she will be fine though, and enjoy a bit of mollycoddling when she gets home again! (Worst bit for us was lead walking until the stitches could come out as Clover just does not DO lead walking! Nightmare!)

Hope all goes well - Wilf and Roobs have had similar in that area on occasion but thankfully the vet managed to pull out the offending grass seed

You could also try silica as well

Still no word from vet.... dropped her off at 9.30... poor doglet was shivering and shaking while waiting to go in....
