Just back from the vet :(

Thanks everyone,

I have been lying on my bed with Blue most of the day, sleeping on and off.  Now wide awake and can't get back to sleep.  I have bipolar and things like this really effect my mood to the point of depression.  So I have to be very careful.  But how do you keep yourself feeling ok, when these things happen.  I suppose you just have to get on with it.  I watched a bit of Britain's got talent tonight, and the wee lass singing, had me in tears had to go back to bed lol.....

So very sorry to read about Blue, hope its not as bad as you fear when you go back to see the vet  enjoy your time with Blue, one of the best things about dogs is they have no worries for the future, no fears or sadness about what might happen, they live for today, and Blue will just be enjoying the time you have together and all the love you are giving her.

Difficult I know, but please stay positive until you know what you are dealing with.  There are many treatments available and the prognosis for some cancers (if that is what you are dealing with) are particularly encouraging.

My friend has a 7 year old dog that was diagnosed a month ago with lymphoma and it took 2 weeks to find out it was B type, which is treatable with chemotherapy which she has now started.  She had never shown any signs of being ill, other than swellings in her neck and tops of her legs.

It was the worst 2 weeks of her life and in a way wishes the vet hadnt told her "what it could be" until they knew for definite.

I do hope the news will be positive and give hugs to Blue

Hi guys,

Blue went in to get a biopsy on Tuesday.  They confirmed it is cancer, but they don't know if it is one kind or the other. 

She seems to be feeling worse.  She can't settle, and her swollen glands are gettin worse.

I am in the middle of the night, I am so worried about her, she is making quite a noise with her breathing now.  I will phone the vet in the morning.  Argh, I have started greetin' writing this.

I wish she would fall asleep she must be really tired.  She can barely keep her head up poor thing.  V cute tho.

Away to cosy in on the settee with her.
