Aural haematoma, bellas had her op now :-(
« on: May 06, 2013, 11:06:44 PM »
Poor Bella has one. Noticed on Friday, one of her ears was sticking out, took her to the vets had it aspirated, 30mls blood stained fluid, has antibiotics and steroids. It's slowly filled up again so looking like another trip tomorrow. Vet thinks she might have to have operation.
She's fine in herself, usual Bella, trying to stop her investigating things and ear flapping is hard though.

Really saddens me when one of my dogs is poorly

I'd try for a second drain If I were you, Dyllan had the same but was fine after the second drain  :D
Vets said he needed the op but I begged for a second drain to avoid the pain of the op.

Aww bless, it makes her look extra cute. The poor little mite looks a little sorry for herself on the first photo.

P.S. Bella, make sure your mammy gives you lots of extra attention.

People laugh at me because I'm different, but I laugh at them because they are all the same.

It's been drained again, she's so good at the vets and she loves going  :luv:

Just hoping it doesn't refill.

Either through flapping her ears or scratching.
She does like a good flap of her ears though
