Personal preference I reckon.  Ours do fine on Frontline.   ;)

I'm sticking with advocate for same slug related reasons, but have also ordered some billy no mates to see if it puts off the evil ticks. I might try it myself, ticks love me for some reason (maybe it's my eau de doggy perfume) :)
