Just so heartbreaking :bigarmhug:. I hope his treatment (if you decide to go ahead) goes well, Jarvis is so very lucky to have such a caring owner who has his best interests at heart. I am still thinking of you both :bigarmhug:

Just back from vets with Jarvis, he only has a finger width gap in his anal canal so have decided to go with the chemo option. It might stop the tumour, it might even reduce it but no guarantees. Now
have to watch for side effects,I certainly do not want his quality of life to suffer because he is so great just now. Just given him his first tablet, he gets them Monday Wednesday and Friday, and feel so bad. We go back to vets on 20th to get his blood checked, make sure his white cell count doesn't drop too low. I feel like I am on a runaway train I can't control and I don't like it :'(

Yes i know that feeling...
so out of your comfort zone.
You are doing your best for Jarvis :luv:
and that is what he needs; such
a difficult time for you , wish I
could give you a real hug and use a majik
wand to wave it away, alas, I cannot but
I can tell you your boy has you on his side and
that is the best thing
:bigarmhug:for you and a great big cocker-
kiss for Jarv from Ellie :-*

I am so sorry that you and Jarvis are having to deal with this.  You are making the choice based on what you feel is right for your boy, you cannot do any more.   :bigarmhug:

Poor wee Jarvis  :'( Cancer took my wee Chloe away in just 10 days but if I had longer and choices, I would have gone for chemotherapy for her. Fingers crossed it helps him and you get many more days to enjoy with your boy xx

If the vet has suggested Chemo, they must feel it will help, so hopefully you will have quality time with Jarvis. Unlike with human, they aim for "Quality of life" not "Quantity of life".

Having seen how well Danny tolerated Chemo, I would have no hesitation.

Took Jarvis back to vets yesterday because could see over past few days he wasn't comfortable  Lately though he seemed to be having trouble doing a poo, doing a lot of scooting. The vet said yesterday that the lymph glands in his stomach are swollen so they could be putting pressure on him and making him feel he wants to go when there is nothing there.
So have to give him lactulose twice a day to soften his stools. This is the last resort, I don't want him to be distressed so if this doesn't help him feel more comfortable....Hard thing is he's so bright and full of life
