Hi Sheryl

The best of luck with Lyla today. You're so right to go with your gut instinct over this. Laurie must be an excellent vet to have both you and Lyla placing so much trust in her but she'll never be as close to Lyla as you are and so able to judge her day to day behaviour. Poor wee girl  :luv:.

We'll all be thinking of you and hoping like mad for the best possible outcome. :luv:

Hope all goes well.  Just an option, but how about seeing a massage therapist who can assess if there is muscular problem.  Not sure how close our northern therapists are to you

Sheryl I would be wary of giving Metacam just in case they have to give Lyla steroids as they do not mix.  I learnt that when Charlie went down and we had to wait 2 days before he could start the steroids as the vet had given him metacam for the pain before he went down, without actually trying to find the cause of his back pain.  I know a lot better now.
