Glad you were able to take her to the vets.  I do hope Molly got on alright with her scan today.

Well she has been for her scan and it is nothing sinister so that is good news!! Now we just have to find out what IS causing her problems. She still has messed up blood results so she has to stay on all the medication for now and it is back to the vets in the morning for a check up. She still has diarrhoea but seems a little brighter so let us see how we go overnight.

Who ever says pets are easier than children needs their heads read. I just wish I could ask her what hurts where  :'(

Helly D thanks for the recommendation of the Mobility Bones, I am going to talk to her vet about it today. Have you any dealing with probiotics? I am thinking of putting her on them daily because of all this problem with her gut and there are so many of them.

pro-biotic goat yog. (from Morrisons)
and Acidophilus capsules (from
Holland and Barret) with good results

I hope you get some good news about Molly soon,  I am going through something similar with Frankie not with blood in stools but with red and white cells/high temperature etc.  Its so worrying when everything is out of your hands and you feel like your over worrying with all the phone calls and questions you have to keep asking the vets  I had a bad experience with Louis being given Rimadyl when he was small and we were very lucky with him so I wont let any of my 3 have it now, we were lucky with Frankie on Sunday, he had been in the vets all day with scans and bloods being done, I called at 7 to see how he was and they were just going to give him a Rimadyl injection as I called before they would let him go which luckily I stopped.

Keeping fingers crossed for you and Molly  :luv:

Things are on the up it seems. We have been to the vet today and she only now wants to see Moll if there is a problem. She has to finish the antibiotics and carry on with the Canigest for now and then we have to see. She wants us to keep her on a very bland diet of white fish and rice but Molly is having none of that!! I have managed to get her to eat mashed potato and chicken but she wants more exciting food now she is feeling better!!

I am still convinced it is all down to the Rimadyl although the vet is still not ruling out food intolerances. It all just seems a bit coincidental that she went downhill so fast after a huge injection of Rimadyl.

We will try the probiotic yoghurt when she finishes the Canigest.

Fingers crossed she is getting there. Thank you all for your support you have been wonderful. :luv: :luv:

It is with a huge sadness in my heart to say that we lost Molly today. They never actually found out what was up with her but it caused Pancreatitis , colitis and a huge allergic reaction that covered her body in hives causing everything to just shut down. Her poor little body just couldn't cope any more.

We will miss her so much, she was such a special little girl.  :'( :'( :'(
