Charlie had it done and recovered well, he's also had one abscess 

Mum takes him approx once per month to have the nurse empty them and touch wood has been ok for a while. I find of he comes to work with me and eats a bit of horse poo he seems better with it, maybe it bulks the poops out more  . He is always bothered by them but the vet feels that is due to scaring, he now also has a polyp so it must be quite uncomfortable for him
