Bailey is off to the vets at 3.30pm.  He started being sick through the night.  Brought up all his dinner at 3am, some more at 5.45 and then approximately every 2 hours since he has brought up white, foamy phlegm.

He is not interested in anything.  I took him for a pee this morning, he did a pee right outside, we walked 50 yards up the road, and he turned around wanting to go home.  Just tried him again and he only got to the bottom of the 3 steps before he wanted to go back in.  This isn't like him at all.  He seems really depressed, weak and lethargic, he is hanging his head and just looks really poorly.  He has had 2 licks of an ice cube and that has been it, no drinking.

Im getting myself into a right state.  It is so upsetting seeing him so depressed and weak.  Of course he could just be feeling really sorry for himself, but I have just had to carry him from a bedroom.  He was sick and just sat there, head down, not wanting to move.

Im pretty sure he hasn't eaten anything he shouldn't, he ate his tea last night with gusto and was fine.  He hasn't done a poo yet today, so dont know what is going on in that department.

Just want to get him to the vets now, which is going to depress him even more  :(

Poor, poor Bailey, I hope it's just a tummy bug and nothing else. It's so awful seeing them like that. Let us know how you get on at the vet's.  :(

It's awful to seem them like that. I hope that its nothins to serious. Hope everything goes ok at the vets.

Poor Bailey and poor you (((((hugs))))

Alfie goes the exact same when hes got a bug and its sooooooo worrying, especially the standing still with the head down :(

Every time though hes perked up after being on anitbiotics for 24 hours.

Good luck at the vets and heres hoping for a speedy recovery

It's horrible watching them isn't it.

Just imagine how you feel when you have a tummy bug. It's probably much the same for them, and hopefully that's all this is and he's be up and running in no time.

I would be just like you though, and I'm sure you are doing the right thing by taking him to the vet.

Hope he's feeling better soon !!

Its horrible watching them mope around, although Our Bailey turned into the Biggest cuddle monster ever !! He is looking much better today thou..

I'm Sure your Bailey will be fighting fit again in a day or two..

Oh poor Bailey :(  He sounds absolutely miserable - hopefully Mr Vet can give him some magic medicine to make him feel better. Its horrible to see them so unwell :(

Hope Bailey is OK. Hopefully it's just a tummy upset, will check back later to see how he is.
It's awful when they are sick isn't it :huh: Their whole bodies wretch it's awful to watch  :(

Well, we are not long back.  Vet think it is Haemorrhagic Gastroenteritis  :blink:  Poor wee man, had 3 injections, a thermometer and a finger up his bum!!!  :o   I have to take him back at 8.45am tomorrow morning  :blink:

Im keeping everything crossed he improves tonight, otherwise I think he will be having a weekend away  :unsure:

Bless him, he hadn't done a poo today, well Mr Vet man must have loosened things up  ;)  He "exploded" once we got out onto the street  :rolleyes:
