She's been so so as when she's out the house doesn't have a huge amount of confidence (she freaked when a peke came near her last night).

Eye's all clouded over and while I know that's meant to be normal trotted along to see Steve (no appt but as I live close by they will let me sneak in sometimes). He now wants to see her on monday as he might want to accelrate the healing by rubbing over with a cotton bud (she'll be sedated and have a local on her eye).

I took little bro Wilf with me as well today and she was a lot better out and about today.

Aww bless her - I'm not surprised it's knocked her confidence. To not be able to see properly on one side must make everything seem to jump out at her and take her by surprise.

Hope she gets well soon  :luv:

sounds like you have a great vet (resisting the temptation to use the winking emoticon in case i upset roobs)

eye things/problems make me shudder, hope roobs gets her mojo back soon and is back to normal (a peke? come on roobs! :005: - but thinking about it jarvis's biggest but smallest adversary is a JR!)

She was so freaked by the peke that she nearly slipped her collar so I picked her up to keep her from doing it as he wouldn't go away (not something I usually do but this peke was also a randy b***) and normally she hates being picked up and will usually struggle but she just 'clung' to me poor love and didn't want to go back down at all.

Can you imagine how miserable any of us would be in the same position as Roobs?

Pamper her a little. I do hope she starts to feel more comfortable soon.

Did your vet give her any antibiotic eye drops?

Awww bless her little heart  :luv:

I hate anything to do with the eyes, so I really feel for her.  Hoping she is feeling a lot better soon.

I wouldn't mind but at the time I was trying to save the peke from imminent death as he was dodging traffic (for the umpteenth time this week). Thankfully someone who'd just parked up and missed squashing him with his car took him to the vet for me so he'd be out of harm's way (poor thing is quite thin, very matted and 'hanging')---know who owns him but not where they live.

Poor Roobs, that sounds really painful and it must be scary for her if she can't see properly at the moment. I hope she makes a speedy recovery.

I had a thought actually that maybe you should walk her so her good eye is on the outside, if that makes sense, so that then at least she's got you to protect her on the side she can't see well out of?
