Updated (It's not) Pyometra - Wherry is unwell.

She is seriously unwell.
Waiting for the vet to come back to me, she said she is worried it is bimetra or something that sounds like that but I can't find what it is. Something I think to do with her being in season and the blood not coming out I think. She will have to go into surgery tonight if it is, the vet is now getting a second opinion.

She has the symptoms of bloat.

Do you think the vet meant pyometra (think I've spelt that correctly).  Is Wherry spayed?

I think it'll be pyometra which can be very nasty. Hope she's OK. Try not to worry.

Yes, that's it, vet has a very heavy eastern european accent I could hardley understand anything.
We are taking her in to the surgery now.

Poor Wherry. Having gone through a pyometra scare with Misty recently I can understand your concern.

Must admit I thought it was only after a season and the cervix closed that they could get a pyometra... but I'm no expert. Can they get it during a season too ?  :-\

I hope she's better soon.
