I'm not surprised you are worried - I bet Monday can't come soon enough for you  :shades:  I am a worrier too and get myself in a right tizz about anything like this.  >:( Hope it is nothing and your vet can sort Ebony out on Monday  ;)

I found something very similar on my last cocker, Sophie, it was just below her throat.  It was removed and all it was was a fatty lump that the vet didn't even bother to send off to be tested.  I am sure that Ebony's lump will be just the same, but I do know how you are feeling because I was beside myself when I found it and couldn't believe it had got so big without me noticing.

One of our previous Cockers, a blue roan bitch called Capi, was prone to fatty lumps from about age seven. Although she never had one on her throat, she had them just about everywhere else. Some had to be removed, some not. She once had one on her back which erupted all by itself one day! Try to think positively - easier said than done, I know.

good luck for tommorrow, sending positive thoughts for your dog and you and your family :luv:.
one of my dogs had something similar, and it was attached under his ear, and along his jaw, he was refered to the royal vetinary collage,in potters bar, and was seen by a specilaist, as my vet was not confident in removing becasue of location, slyvia glands ect, i feared the worst, and immedidatley thought cancer, as it come up overnight, and was attached, did'nt bother him in the slightest. he was kept in for 4 nights, and had to await for test results of the lump, they also found a pea size lump the day he was admitted, after a bit of a wait, my dog has a rare condition called sterile panniculitis. and any new lump has to be removed immeditaly, basiclaly my dogs first couple of layers of skin goes into overdrive mode and attacks his own body, even vaccinations were a normal dog can have in its neck, my dog has to have his yearly booster vaccination in his muscle in his back leg, if he needs anti boitics, he has to have intavenious drip in a leg and be admitted overnight, he can never ever have any needle any were along his entire back. even a knock along his back, can send his skin tissue into overdrive mode, and cause a lump to form. for my dog jasper, even the microchip his body over reacted too, and a lump formed , so he now has a warning on his file for no injections whotsoever neck/ back area.

i was just saying this as any lump we all think the dreaded " c" word. try and stay postivie, although my dog has a rare condition, its not cancer, they are tumor modules, although we have to wrap him in cotton wool some of the time, he has coped with this condition for nearly 9 years now, and he is checked daily, bless him. i could'nt be without him, he is such a sweet boy, and has coped fantastically with his condition.
i totally feel for you, and know what a worry finding any lump is, but ( fingers crossed for your dog and you  :-* ), i really hope it turns out to be something and nothing.
sending postive thoughts to you .

How very worrying, Kelly; I do hope it's nothing serious.

The labs were very prone to getting lumps on them; Stan particularly had a huge one behind his elbow which although it was a bit unsightly was a totally benign fatty lump which never gave him any problem. ;)

Hopefully Ebony's lump will be the same. :D
