You poor thing, don't beat yourself up, it was an accident and it could happen to anyone (in fact yesterday it nearly happened to me when Zorro got under my feet when I was pouring boiling water out of the kettle). Trouble is these cockerdangles love nothing better than being under our feet.

If it's any consolation when Bella was a pup I snapped one of her baby canines when I didn't realise she'd sunk her teeth into my jeans and got up and moved quickly - that ended in her having to have a general anaesthetic to have the darned thing taken out at only 4 months old, how bad did I feel?  ph34r ::)

Fingers crossed the damage isn't too bad and I'm sure she'll be as right as rain in no time.  :luv:

Poor you and poor Indy.  Hugs to both of you.

It sounds as if a lot of our dogs lie in the kitchen (mine included) so it could have happened to any one of us.  I hope you get good news from the vet on Wednesday.

Don't be too hard on yourself Sue, I'm surprised I haven't posted the same myself before now with my four milling around when there's food being prepared.

Hope Indy is ok :bigarmhug:

Poor Indie and poor you - it was an accident, and you must have been so scared  :'(

Can you pop her in the shower and get some cool/cold water over her?  It will help take any heat out of the burns; and if you can dose her with rescue remedy and arnica, that will help, too  :D

Fingers crossed for a speedy recovery  :-*

Poor Indy and poor you, it was just an accident. I'm also surprised that it hasn't happened to Gari before either as like most of our Cockers, he is always around when their is cooking being done. I'm scared to cook on the front gas in case anything falls on him, and I kind of side-step along the worktop carrying pots to the sink.

Don't be so hard on yourself, Indy has forgiven you, and hopefully it will just be a monor burn. Like Cob-Web said, maybe see if you can spray some cool water over it.

Hope Indy feels better soon. :luv:

Hang in there, it is tough not being able to help them but a waggy tail is a good sign, keep lots of hugs going until you can find out your next steps...  and as everyone has said don't beat yourself up, just focus on quick healing thoughts for Indy.

I know how you feel. When my son was 5 he set himself on fire, when my back was turned with a birthday cake candle he pinched out of the cupboard. He had a parker jacket on which just melted. It does take a few days for the damage to show, He ended up having skin grafts even though I had him straight in a bath of cold water. Hopefully Indy's fur will have taken the most of it and prevented to much damage. It was an accident and these things happen. Don't blame yourself. Hope he''s ok.

Hope Indy is ok. As the others have said don't be so hard on yourself, accidents do happen.

Oh poor Indy - hope shes feeling better soon.

As the other's have said, don't beat yourself up about this. It was an accident and could have happened to anyone - don't blame yourself.  If she's wagging her tale she obviously doesn't blame you, so don't worry
