Soda made no difference to my two, either; eventually they were given an emetic injection which was outrageously expensive and of similar chemical composition to heroin, apparently ph34r

The soda crystals have always worked for us but when Vegas ate a load of Rimadyl tablets at work (I do look after my dogs, honest  ph34r :lol2: :lol2:), the vet told me to give him the Apo-go inj instead and by god, was he sick  :o :lol2: :lol2:

Oh, don't tell me that - I still feel guilty enough as it is  :'( Not only did they manage to get hold of the ibuprofen in the first place due to my tardiness, but when Molo did throw up, they discovered that he hadn't eaten any tablets, so he needn't have had it in the first place  ph34r ph34r

Well the stomach has started to gurgle and we have just been out side and a motion has arrived but no sock yet - so hopefully it's on it's way  :D

Norty Braan  >:D
Millie is also a >:D for eating socks down in one.
Our vet has had to give her a sickness injection 3 times now. once for a sock, once for a (huge) vileda dishcloth and also when she nicked a smacho chew complete with plastic bag.  >:D.
If the item is still in the stomach the injection is pretty much guaranteed to bring it back, but not very pleasant for the doglet.
On the occasions that we haven't known that Miliie has swollowed a sock(and there's been a few  >:( ) they have safely made their own way out -from one end or the other. ;)

The liquid parrafin sounds a good idea and I hope it will do the trick - I may even suggest it to the vet next time (cos I know there will be a next time  >:D ) - but I suppose it depends on the size/texture of what they've eaten. (have to say...I was just soooo glad to see the vileda dishcloth re-appear cos that one frightened the life out of me. :embarassed: )

Hope its not tooo long a night for you.

Ah lizzie - the receptionist when i phoned first thing said 'Arrrggghh tell him it's the new vet on and not Ian' I know what she meant when I met her  :shades: Ian would have given Braan the injection and it would have been over and done by now

Arrrgggh we're off again

I also feel that I'm staying awake with you, but I can't as I have to go to work to be the receptionist who says "Oh yes, a sock, I know what you can do for that!  :005: :005: :005:
