Our vet has had to give her a sickness injection 3 times now. once for a sock, once for a (huge) vileda dishcloth and also when she nicked a smacho chew complete with plastic bag.

If the item is still in the stomach the injection is pretty much guaranteed to bring it back, but not very pleasant for the doglet.
On the occasions that we haven't known that Miliie has swollowed a sock(and there's been a few
) they have safely made their own way out -from one end or the other.
The liquid parrafin sounds a good idea and I hope it will do the trick - I may even suggest it to the vet next time (cos I know there will be a next time
) - but I suppose it depends on the size/texture of what they've eaten. (have to say...I was just soooo glad to see the vileda dishcloth re-appear cos that one frightened the life out of me.
)
