Pepper 13yrs
« on: April 13, 2009, 04:19:04 PM »
We have had pepper from pup for 13 years.

The last 2 days have left us totally shocked she wont eat or drink and sounds like shes in pain.

Her back legs have now gone and even a big bloke like me started to cry the is morning.

We are taking her to the vets tomorrow and we think its time to end the suffering.

Both my wife and i cannot face tomorrow but i will not see her suffer she's been a loyal happy sometimes mad dog.

Love her to bits

So very sorry to hear your sad news  :'(
You have known and loved Pepper for 13 years so you know when the time is right. Think of what you are doing as the last act of kindness you can show her. She will know that you are doing it out of love to end her suffering.
Enjoy your last moments together and make them precious ones.
Thinking of you and your family at this sad time  :-*  :-*

The sad thing is that dogs have such short lives compared to ours. It sounds like your baby has had the best life anyone could have given her, as for crying, my OH sobbed his heart out when each of ours reached the end of their days and so did I.
The hardest but kindest thing we do for our animals, our friends, is to be with them until the end, comfort and reasure them, ease their suffering and sadly let them go. I'm so sorry you're going through this but I guess she needs you now as much as ever. Take care.

I'm so sorry to hear this. It is the hardest decision we ever have to make, but it is also the last act of kindness for our beloved babies to end there suffering. Try to remember all the good times you had together. The way I think of it is we are the ones left to grieve. They are now free of any ailment and are young again, running free with all the others who have past before them. Take care of yourself and your family and I will be thinking of you tom. :'(
