Thanks for the good wishes everybody. I dropped William off just before 9.00am and I'm now keeping myself busy to avoid worrying too much. So far I've done food shopping and at the moment 24 of William's cuddly toys are in the washing machine. Hopefully they'll be dried and back in his toy box before he comes home later today, as he gets a bit anxious if he sees them all hung out to dry on the rotary!

Aw, poor William, I can just imagine his little face watching them all drying. I used to do Gari's in batches, but he would also stare at the ones on the line and seemed worried about them. :luv:

I hope William got on ok today. :luv:

I've been thinking of you today.

I hope all is well. (And that the toys are dry!)

I'm so cross. My poor boy was there for 8 and a half hours today and hasn't had his scan. I had a phone call just after 4.30pm to say that they'd had some problems with the scanner so hadn't been able to do all the scans. They wanted to keep William overnight but I said I wanted him home. Luckily it's only about a 30 minute drive, so I've now got him home and he's just had his evening meal. He has to be back there at 8.30am tomorrow, so can't have any more food between now and then.

They said he'd been really good and quiet all day, but what they don't realise is that he is a good and very polite boy, who doesn't make much fuss vocally even when he's stressed. I think he probably copes better than many, but it can't have been pleasant for him, stuck in a cage and surrounded by strange people and stressed dogs.

Maybe I shouldn't be so cross. I know that technical faults happen and they probably tried very hard to get all the scans done, but I think they should have realised earlier than 4.30pm that they weren't going to finish them all. At least he hasn't been sedated, which is one of the things I was worried about.

Anyway, rant over. He's having a nap at my feet right now and I'll take him for a walk later (watching like a hawk to make sure he doesn't snack on any horse poo) and hopefully we'll both get a restful night before going through all the stress again tomorrow.

How frustrating,

I agree that they can't be blamed for the machine not working, but they could have let you know earlier. I guess they must have just really wanted to get through them all and were hoping that they could.

Bless him. I hope he copes as well tomorrow.

Poor William being stuck in there all day, they should have let you know earlier. >:(

I hope they get it fixed and he gets it done tomorrow, it's stressful enough going through all that for one day, never mind two.

Give William a big cuddle from me. :luv:

Hope he manages to have done tomorrow and everything goes smoothly with a good result.
I really do feel for you, what a complete pain in the backside.
Bless you William  :luv: :luv: More positive thoughts for tomorrow.

Oh Elaine how damn frustrating for you and poor William.  ::)  I can imagine how annoying it is, what with all the 'build up' for his scan and William being left all that time in a cage at the vets, even more so in this heat.  ::)  All the worry for you today and its still not done.  ::)

I will be thinking of you both tomorrow and hope they can do the scan a.s.a.p in the morning, so you can collect him earlier too.
