Thank you everyone, you are all so lovely.
I was going to do so much in the house this weekend. I have done nothing. What we have done every day is drive around the countryside stopping for a coffee here, a breakfast there, a tea and cakes here, calling in to see people whenever we were near anyone - just so Ellie has been out and about rather than just sitting in the house getting more depressed. The house is a tip but it doesn't matter, because Ellie is a lot happier and is tired at night and she is what matters. We are hoping though that when we take her for her wound check on Thursday we will get the go-ahead for walks. Walking is our hobby and she is used to long walks every day, sometimes all day, and she must be missing sniffing and snuffling in the undergrowth and running across the fields with her cocker friend Toffee from next door who comes on all our walks with us. But the most important thing is that she is well, for which we are so thankful, and it won't be long before we are back to walking.
Thank you again for all your kind thoughts.
