Kennel Cough
« on: December 31, 2011, 11:08:26 AM »
My poor baby has got Kennel Cough  :'(
Luckily only very mld so she's still herself, but just has the huffy cough, retching and a bit sneezy. I've been giving her honey as recommended to help her throat but someone has said to try baby benolyn, how much would I give her?
Just wondered if anyone could help - thank you

If it's only mild the honey on it's own should help ;) x x x

No she won't be prone to it it's an airbourne virus it's just unlucky she caught it :luv: I only had mine vaccinated when they were going into kennels, I supposed it's entirley up to you whether you have it done or not I think now the vaccination last 12 months were as before it was 6 months ;) x x x

freezing some honey into ice cubes can be very soothing as well (or even some of the benelyn in an ice cube)

Thank you for you replies, the honey is working and she loves it!! I think the anti inflammatory the vets gave her has helped as she's not coughing as much today, still sneezing tho.
Happy New Year to all
