Thanks everyone.  Just hope it clears completely in the next couple of weeks.

Well done Tobes, and well done Mel for getting the drops in  :005:

Toni, Tobes has been so good.  I put his chin on my knee, open his eye with one hand and put the drops in with the other.  I think he realises it has to be done so has sat there like a good boy while I did it. Only missed once at the beginning  :005:

You are right,he is an angel .When i had to put steroid drops in Rubys eyes she was a complete moo and the places i had to put the tube of primula to distract her were something else   ph34r but i do think they may have stung her eyes :-\
She has eye flush and lubricant twice a day now with no bother......oh the power of cheddar cheese  :lol2:

It never rains but it pours, as they say.  >:D  Tobes had the trots a bit yesterday and I thought it was the milk in the scrambled eggs which I gave him.  Last night about 8pm he started with the diarwotsits and still hasn't stopped.  I was up all night with the little guy.  He was in and out all night about twice an hour.  I was cleaning up as best I could.  The outside tap was frozen so I was carting buckets of disenfectant out all night.  He hasn't eaten since 5pm yesterday, is quiet and I'm having to spoon water down him.  He's had Pro Kolin which hasn't done any good.  I think I spotted some dark red blood in his poo as well.  He's wrapped in a blanket because he has been shivering (even though the house is nice and warm). He's already on antibiotics for his eye so I'm worried it might not be just an infection. The vet couldn't get him in until 3.50 today.  Please wish that Toby feels better soon.   :'(  Thanks.

Oh Toby poppet... you are really in the wars aren't you  :'(  Hope the vet is able to pinpoint what the problem is and its just an unhappy coincidence.  Will be thinking of you at the vets - maybe his tummy is reacting to the longer term use of the antibiotics  :-\
Hope you get some answers and Tobes is feeling well again soon  :luv: :luv: :luv:

Ahh poor little Toby.

It's not nice when they're up all night at all :(

I spent the night on the sofa with one of ours only the other week.

He had an anti inflam and antibiotic injection at the vets and seemed fine the day after.

Just kept him on bland food for about a week too.

Hope Toby is better real soon. :bigarmhug:

just caught up on all this....poor toby.. :'( :'(

He is probably shivering because he has a temperature, keep on pushing those fluids even if its only by spoon/syringe....

i wouldnt offer him any food at the minute(he probably wouldnt take it anyway)....and maybe when the diawotsits tail off a little plain boiled rice...

i really hope poor tobes feels better very soon, its so worrying when they are poorly xxxxx
