Thanks everyone for your kind wishes.
Vet has diagnosed colitis.  When he took his temperature there was fresh blood on the thermometer, which apparently is a sign of inflammation.  When he examined Tobe's tummy, he could feel loads of fluid in there so he's not dehydrated.  I was worried he might have had parvo.  I can't feed him until tomorrow morning and he hasn't had anything to eat since 5pm yesterday.  He's sleepy and cuddled up in his crate next to the radiator right now.  He's got more anti inflam tablets and some medicine which will bind him, hopefully.  The vet says there should be improvement tomorrow, otherwise he has to go back on Monday.  Phew, I hate seeing him ill and I can't wait to be able to give him some food in the morning. (Tobywoo you really worry your Mummy sometimes)  :luv:

Blimey Mel, just caught up on this thread. Poor Tobes  :'( Willow was diagnosed with colitis when younger but touch wood had been okay since around october time. We were often finding she would get the trots and it often contained blood and mucus, so we would have to feed chicken and rice and 6 small meals for a few days and then she would shed weight and that was a worry. At 14months she seems fine now. I know on the meet you said Tobes suffered upset tums. Willow was then put on the royal canin sensitivity control kibble and that seemed to do the trick and she gained weight  :D We always keep pro kolin paste in as willow sometimes eat nasties when out on a walk and becomes sloppy ish although nothing like what she was. Willow sends her friend Tobes a big get well hug xxxx

Oh Mel, I hope he gets better soon, poor fellah. I feel for both of you - it's awful when they are poorly, especially during the night times when the hours seem to drag.  Thinking of you both. x

Thanks all.
Tobes is acting more like his normal self today, running around like a loon and trying to pickpocket tissues and snatch cloths from my hand!  I'm trying to get him to rest but I think winning the lottery would be easier.   :005:  He was very settled in the night but so far this morning he is still pooping about 2/3 times an hour and it is still sloppy and slimey but no blood.  Fed him this morning, as vet advised, and he woolfed it down, looking for more.  He's had a similar thing twice before but it has totally cleared up after a couple of days but this seems to be going on forever.  I don't really feel there is a big improvement, considering the medication he's taking.  I'm worried what will happen in a few hours now that he's eaten a small meal, I'm also a bit worried of feeding him again at lunchtime.  We'll see what happens today and if no improvement then back to the vet tomorrow.
