glad to say ozzy is so much better  :D but we are still resting him , and he doestnt mind us stroking him now , we have had to put carpet in the kitchen because he was slipping on it . he is still on the anti inflamatry's , not sure how long he has to be on these , the vet didnt say . he still has got another 2 weeks of confinement so i know it is still early days (and he is really fed up ).  >:(

keep going ozzy! Jennie sends you lots of licks cos she knows what its like  :-*

If he needs to be on the anti -inflams for an extended duration you could try supplementing his diet some glousamine and chondritin .. trees some good links in a couple of other posts

I would still say pain, especially if it is out of character.

definitely could be pain still ..  Light pressure on his head could cause a pain spike if the pain is in his neck; or make him think he is going to be in pain enough to want to respond.  Jennie even tried to bite me and growled at me during her worst times, and I'm her favourite hooo-man; but she nearly took the face off the neuro-vet we saw :embarrassed:

If not pain, then maybe they frightened him as they went to stroke him cos he didn't see them properly, or couldn't turn his head to see what was 'coming' at him?  :-\

going to get my hubby to take him back to the vet , think it may be his ear again , he's shaking his head , only thing is that will mean eardrops!!, and it is impossible to get them in him because he just bites us , does anyone know if the vet charges if we ask them to put them in every day ??

I would imagine they would, unless the nurse does it as a free service.

Can you not just slip a muzzle on him for your safety just while you put the drops in?

its impossible to muzzle him ! soon as he sees the muzzle he goes under the table or in a corner and you just cant get near him , he has allways been like this , even the vet has a problem to get the muzzle on  :embarassed:

Oh dear.  Are you taking him to the vets?  I was just thinking that even if it is his ears, if he is shaking his head, it may be causing pain in his neck.  Poor Ozzy, he must be fed up by now.  Hope you get everything sorted soon xx
