I posted last week about my neighbour's friend's cocker spaniel, Lily, who was in renal failure following gastroenteritis.

Lily seemed to be a little better this week, she was eating complan and started to go to the door to greet her mum when she came home from work.

She had another blood test on Friday which unfortunately showed that her renal level was only slightly less than before.  The vet said that he was now treating Lily on a 'palliative plan'.  She has been started on steroids but is not very well today.

Her mum is giving Lily the parsley infusion & honey as kindly suggested by Bluegirl and is determined to do everything she can for Lily.  Please could everyone send positive thoughts to Lily, she is only 5 years old.

Thinking of them both. Poor Lily.

Also get her to try to stick to the diet that Holly443 previously posted or something very similar, as these things really do help buy time.

Watch out for vomiting that looks like ground coffee and / black tarry stools as they are signs that mean her condition is really bad and her organs have started to shut down.
