Splinter in eye
« on: October 06, 2012, 08:23:12 PM »
Just got back from seeing the emergency vet.  Pippa has a splinter in her eye which the vet couldn't get out.  We have eye drops to use tomorrow and the vet says it's possible it will work its own way out.  If not, it's removal under sedation on Monday.  Pippa is being amazing - really good at the vet's and she's not rubbing it at all.  We wouldn't have known anything was there expect that her eye was slightly puffy.  Positive thoughts to will the thing out before Monday would be very welcome.

Hi
Hope Pippa is ok, I'm sure Barney will look after her.

At least she is fast asleep, hopefully she will be fine by Monday.

Fingers and paws crossed for you.

Poor Pippa, hope that nasty splinter works its way out of her eye itself.  She is being very good as it sounds as though it could be very painful & irritating to me.

Poor little soul  :luv: That must be so irritating and sore. Do you think that silica would help? I've never used it but I know its been reccommended for grass seeds.

Hoping for positive outcome without surgery.

Poor girl.  :luv:  Fingers and paws crossed here that the splinter works it's own way out and Pippa won't need any sedation.
