Well, thanks for the positive thoughts which have so far brought partial success. Most of the splinter has come out but a tiny bit has been left behind, less than a millimetre. Unfortunately, it seems to be irritating her more now though but she doesn't seem to be able to pinpoint the area that hurts and is just rubbing her whole self on the furniture.  :-\

Poor Pippa, I hope that it will work it's way out before tomorrow, if not that the vet can remove the rest of it before it does any damage.  :bigarmhug:

Good luck for tomorrow, sounds like she'll be having a similar op to Phoebe when she had a foreign body in her eye.

Thanks, all. The little end bit is still in there so looks like we'll be calling the vet in the morning. The annoying thing is I think it probably broke when the vet was trying to pull it out yesterday, so now I'm thinking if we had left it alone, it may well all have been out by now.  :-\ Maybe there will be movement overnight again. Hope so.

How's Pippa doing this morning?  Has the rest managed to work its way out overnight?  Hope so....  :luv:

The little bit was still there this morning so she is at the vets now. Just spoke to them and she has had the procedure and they're waiting for her to come round. Can't wait to pick her up. Barney is lost without her too.  :luv:
