We have two girls Molly and Poppy. Whilst Molly had her first season when she was nine months Poppy was 13 months old when she came into season for the first time. I'm sure there will be others with similar experiences, our vet told us there was nothing to worry about.

Does she mix with other bitches. If a bitch is in or almost in season it often brings on a season?

Livie & Tinker's first season wasn't until 18 months - there does seem to be quite a variation but as Holly says, they're all different  ;)

(my two came into season when my DD bought home her new born baby - don't know if it was coincedence or not  :shades:  & I was once told that they'd have their season by the time the daffodils are out  :005:  ....old wives tale perhaps  ;) )
If your dog thinks you're the best.....don't seek a second opinion!!

24 months & 2 weeks for my Inca!  Then every 12 months since.  She had a litter with her second season and a healthy litter of 9 babies, so definitely not infertile, like women they are all different.

Thanks every one. you would think the vet would have said they told me any time between 6 and 9 months. but seems there is no fixed time.
