Zac, my niece's chocolate labrador, went to the Bridge today aged 10 years. He only went to the vet with a sore leg, which indeed was an infected elbow, but whilst there the vet felt him over and found something he wasn't happy with. Zac had an immediate ultrasound which showed a mass on his spleen and he had an emergency operation to remove his spleen. Unfortunately the cancer had spread to his liver. He had one dose of chemotherapy which didn't help him and he stopped eating and became very uncomfortable. Zac went to the Bridge in his own home in his Mummy's arms.
Run free Zac, all well again now. I'm sure you have already found lovely big puddles to splodge about in at the Bridge. We will all miss you so much.
